=>District Youth Gathering: Journey (Romans 8:35-39) - November 18-20 - www.neyouth.org
"Journey" is a gathering of teens (9th-12th grade as of November 2011) from Nebraska and Iowa West
districts of the LCMS to LaVista, NE (outside of Omaha). Participants will consider the challenges of our
journey here on earth, the promises of our Lord for salvation and guidance along our journey of faith, and
consider the implication that brings for our life choices. Also at "Journey" music from the 211Band, illusionist
Arden Jame, Bible studies, worship, other Gathering activities including, Laser tag, Airsoft Dart tag, RockBand,
Karaoke, Inflatables and more! There is a $115 registration fee if registered by October 1. Lodging cost is
$115/night (est. for 4-person rooms). You can use funds from your youth account to pay for this event.
Don't let funds be the reason why you do not attend this event. Talk with Brad Rogers if funds are a

We will be mowing the lawn and picking up trash around the neighborhood. Mowers are provided as well as
trash bags for the trash pick up.

UnPaved is a weekend event focused on service that PLC is offering to our 7th and 8th grade confirmation
students. It is UnPaved's passion (and our hope) that ALL would become imitators of Christ in a life
of service. There events consist of: dymanic speakers, powerful music from the 211Band, inspiring Bible
studies, "These Guys" comedy team, servant event planning and a service project. We would be looking for 1
or 2 high school youth to serve in a youth "leader" or "mentor" type role for the confirmation students. If you
