Have we ever truly understood what it means to go without? I am reminded how different needs are today from what they were when my parents were growing up. When they were growing up, there were times the family had to go without just to have enough to be able to put food on the table. Today the same concept of hardship is still very real, but hardship and the provision of what we need to survive might also include things like a cell phone or IPod. When we have to go without, we often grumble. However, we are reminded today how the Lord provides what we need in order to survive.
