HOUR OF WORSHIP

Today’s “Your Hour of Worship” was sponsored by Bob and Joann Nemechek,  praising the Lord and thanking Him for 37 years of marriage.

TODAY IS “GOING BEYOND SUNDAY”

The 3rd Sunday of the month, is “Going Beyond Sunday”. The purpose of “Going  beyond Sunday” is to support the mission in ministry of the LCMS beyond our church body. This month, we will be taking a free will offering for our local radio station, KNGN. See the KNGN insert for more information.

ASH CREEK ANNIVERSARY

The members of St. John Lutheran Church, Ash Creek, invite you to join them on   Sunday, September 20th in celebrating the congregation's 125th Anniversary and their annual Mission Festival!  St. John is having two services that day under the theme based on Psalm 145:1-7, "From Generation to Generation Proclaiming and Celebrating God's Goodness in Christ."  The first service, with Communion, is at 10:30 a.m. (CDT), with former pastor Rev. Larry Rodencal preaching.  The second service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (CDT), and will primarily be a hymn fest, with a son of the congregation, Rev. Mike Reiners, serving as speaker.  Between the two services, around noon, a meal will be served.  If you plan on attending the noon meal please call the church by August 24th at (308) 364-2706.

What this entails is little things that need attention here at the church that are identified. If you can help with completing any of the needed tasks, just fill out the back of the card, (posted on the bulletin board), and turn it into the church office.
