Praise Band was created for a more contemporary sound during church services and special events. The band currently consists of drums, guitars, bass, piano, and a vocal choir. The band usually plays from the choir loft located in the back of the church. During our contemporary services (10:30am service on the 3rd Sunday of the month), the music is selected by the pastor and our band directors, Russ and Sue . Please call the office if you would like to participate.
Organ music is a big part of tradition in the Lutheran Church. Here at Peace, the organists play a large role during most of our worship services. The liturgy and hymn selections are taken from the new "Lutheran Service Book". As a lost art, we are always ready to welcome anyone who has been blessed with the talent to play such an instrument. If you would like to share the gift that God has given you, please call the church or email us at the link given at the top of the page.
The Hand Bell Choir meets during the Church Holidays and has played for Advent, Christmas, Lent, & Easter. Practices will soon start again with the season of Advent quickly approaching. The music for handbells is relatively easy. We have choir members who necessarily don't read music, but can follow the cues from the music sheets. If you would like to know more, please call the church office or email us at the link given at the top of the page.
The Vocal Choir highlights music as a gift from God that enriches life in the church and beyond. Normally, the choir only practices for special seasons of the church year. Currently, they are preparing for Holy Week and Easter. Practices are on Mondays at 7pm.
